Pianos and presets
Pianos
Section titled “Pianos”Piano Samples lists the .npno pianos in your folder, in backups there,
and on a connected Nord.
- Open one to play it under Listen · Keyboard, with velocity, note by note or from a MIDI keyboard.
- Save to computer downloads it (from the Nord, it is read off the keyboard first). A piano inside a backup needs Load sounds first.
- + Add › Make a piano from a sample… turns one of your samples into a piano (experimental).
- With a Nord connected, Find unused pianos and Delete from Nord work as for samples.
There is no single-file import for pianos: put .npno files in your folder.
Presets
Section titled “Presets”Presets holds organ, piano and synth presets: .ns4o, .ns4n, .ns4y
(Stage 4), .ns3y (Stage 3) and .ns2s (Stage 2). Import them, read them from
a folder or from your Nord, and filter by type (Organ, Piano, Synth)
and model.
Open a preset to see its settings. Some are recognised but not yet shown in detail. Presets can be saved to your computer, but not sent to the Nord yet.
