Compatibility and Check my Nord
Compatibility in the rail shows, for every Nord model, what OpenNord can do: read its program settings, read its samples, copy from the Nord, send to it, delete from it and back it up. Each cell says how sure that is:
| Mark | Means |
|---|---|
| ✓ Works | Tried on a real instrument. |
| ● Ready to test | Not tested on a real instrument yet. |
| ○ Likely | Not tested; expected to work like a related model. |
| ? Needs a tester | Not tested, and not known yet. |
| – Not available | The instrument can’t do it. |
The same overview, in words: Supported instruments.
Check my Nord
Section titled “Check my Nord”Check my Nord looks at a connected keyboard and reports what it finds, such as how many memory areas it has and how many files each holds. It only reads; it changes nothing.
- Connect your Nord.
- On Compatibility, press Check my Nord (or pick it from the Nord menu in the top bar).
- To help, press Share results to help. It opens a pre-filled issue on GitHub for you to look over and send. Nothing is sent without you.
Today only the Nord Stage 4 and Stage 3 are ✓ for everything. Reports from models marked ● or ? are what turns them into ✓.
